ELLE
For Elle’s India Art Issue - June/July 2022, we were asked to add our own creative touch to an existing editorial shoot for the brand Eliferous by Srishti Kaur.
The Brief: The objective was to seamlessly integrate the realms of art and fashion, genuinely fusing them together. Our model was photographed against a stark white backdrop, providing us with a blank canvas to express our creativity. Studio Ruining Magazines’ approach was to artistically enhance the original shot in a manner that accentuates rather than overwhelms it.
THE IKAT STORY
One of Studio Ruining Magazines’ first collaborations was with a homegrown fashion brand called The Ikat Story.
Our work focused on their 'Bandhani' Collection. 'Bandhani' is a highly skilled process, it's a type of tie-dye textile decorated by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a figurative design.
We drew out this ancient Indian art form from the clothing and embodied it into our designs! The aim was to create the perfect balance between ethnic and contemporary concepts.
ONLY NATURAL DIAMONDS
Only Natural Diamonds (OND), backed by the Natural Diamond Council, aims to transform the diamond jewellery industry and connect with consumers.
Together with Dentsu Aegis Network, Studio Ruining Magazines created a standout marketing visual for OND's April theme - Maximalism. This concept celebrates bold, eclectic styles, encouraging a mix-and-match approach to reflect personal flair. It's a fun, vibrant move away from minimalism, inviting individual expression.
Our efforts paid off, attracting a fantastic 2 million views on Instagram!
